Join us at Eagles Hall (715 Kootenay St North) for our annual karaoke pride party, hosted by the one and only April Storm, who’s bringing her signature flair and fabulous energy as MC. Doors open at 8 PM, and this is a 19+ event with a fully licensed bar — so bring valid ID, grab a drink, grab the mic, and let your inner superstar shine!
Whether you're belting out anthems that have shaped our stories, or just here to cheer on the parade of dazzling performances, Queerioke Night is all about joy, expression, and community. Join us in Rotary Park for Cranbrook’s annual celebration of love, diversity, and community: Pride in the Park!
Join us for an exciting day filled with inspiring local speakers, fun activities for all ages, and a vibrant atmosphere of pride and inclusion. Pride Vs. Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story
Pride vs. Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story is a feature-length documentary that chronicles the courageous journey of Delwin Vriend who was fired from a Christian college because he is gay, and the landmark legal battle that reshaped 2SLGBTQ+ rights in Canada.
Produced by ECF and The Edmonton Queer History Project (EQHP), Pride vs. Prejudice delves into the riveting narrative of the Vriend v. Alberta case, where Delwin Vriend, an unlikely hero, courageously battles against discrimination from a government determined to deny his human rights. Uncover the twists and turns that unfold as Vriend's pursuit of justice challenges societal biases, culminating in a ground-breaking Canadian Supreme Court ruling in 1998 that confronts prejudice and sets a transformative precedent for 2SLGBTQ+ rights that is cited around the world.
